With over 20 years of service to the ThompsonGas family, Jeff Kerns serves as the company’s Executive Vice President of Business Development. Mr. Kerns’ daily focus consists of identifying quality acquisition candidates, structuring beneficial arrangements between all parties as well as ensuring the overall success of the business.

Dan Carrigan

Vice President, Business Development 

Dan Carrigan has been a valuable part of the ThompsonGas family since 2012, bringing with him over 25 years of business development, mergers and acquisitions and accounting and finance expertise. Mr. Carrigan enjoys interacting and creating long-lasting relationships with prospective sellers, having reviewed hundreds of propane companies and closing over 60 acquisitions.

Benny Gay

Vice President, Operational Support

Benny Gay joined the ThompsonGas family in 2011 with the acquisition of Cooperative Propane. He has over 35 years experience in retail propane operations and fully understands the acquisition process from the perspective of both seller and buyer. He works with the seller from the due diligence process through closing, and leads the post-close transition team on site to ensure seamless employee transition and uninterrupted customer service.

George Koloroutis

Executive Vice President & Chief Operating Officer

George Koloroutis joined the ThompsonGas family in 2012, bringing over 25 years of expertise in retail operations, supply, sales and marketing. Mr. Koloroutis’ unique expertise in guiding the business owner through the process during and after acquisition ensures a smooth transition for all involved parties.

Randy Thompson

President & Chief Executive Officer

Continuing the ongoing tradition started by his grandfather in 1946, Randy Thompson became President and CEO of ThompsonGas in 1998. At this point, ThompsonGas operated just one location in Boonsboro, MD. Mr. Thompson has grown the company via acquisitions and now services more than 90,000 customers in 17 states.
